~Jersey Summer Love~ and More....

~Jersey Summer Love~ did well in the Summer Lovin' Contest. Because I placed with ~Lavender and Love~ during the Nude Day Contest, I couldn't place this time around. But I got such wonderful feedback. I never would have imagined that "my" life would be interesting enough to elicit such a resounding response.  I'm so glad people that are open to reading erotica stories that aren't just 'wham, bam, thank you ma'am' - stories with substance and conflict - stories in which (I've been told) you can remove the sex and still have a quality story.

Don't get me wrong - my stories are steamy in all the right places. And I hope they cause you to blush, have tingles, get hot-and-bothered, aroused, need to readjust yourself, thirsty for more, hungering for the elusive, and leaving comments with naughty responses and expressions (if called for).  But more importantly, I hope they leave you with dreams and hopes of finding something true, and opening your heart to love.

It seems my romantica stories are a way to advocate for causes and to spread the word on things like disabilities, chronic illness, "invisible" disabilities, cancer, single parenting, divorce, love after death and yes, even spirit connection....things that have touched my life in very real ways.

Having lived with Fibromyalgia and CFIDS for so long: I not only have an empathic P.O.V. on it, but also a very intimate one.

There are a lot of people out there who endure health problems everyday and who dream of finding love, or in some cases keeping that love, or learning how to find a balance between the two. And there are those who learn that they have the strength within them to go it alone. I believe we all deserve support and love in our lives (in whatever guise that shows up as).

This becomes very personal. I appreciate you all taking this journey with my characters and essentially with me.

I always dreamed of finding what my character Raina finds. And so, I suppose the story is half nostalgia, half wishful thinking - a way to go back and heal old wounds. An Understanding Love is a Worthy Love.

I wanted to let those of you who were rooting for MORE Raina and Logan know that a new story is in the works. I'm not promising it will be done or entered in time for the Halloween contest, or even go that route. But you're right...their story is only just beginning.

Thank you for Reading, Voting, and/or Commenting on my stories, your continued support, your feedback, and sharing your lives with me. It's all about Connections.

If you'd like to be added to my updates list, please let me know and check out my FB page too.  :)

PS:   I'm working on changing the look of my blog.  Does anyone know how to change the OPACITY of a TABLE without the entire table/picture going transparent? I've been able to change the opacity, but I am unable to keep my background color at the same time.  Thanks!

~*Jersey Summer Love*~

Sorry for the lag between updates!

I've been a busy girl finishing up ~*Jersey Summer Love*~ my Literotica Summer Lovin' Contest entry.  Winners announced September 13th.

I squeaked the entry in with 18 minutes to spare. Whew!  What a race against the clock and a contest with myself.  This marks a full year of contest entries: completed stories, themed inspiration, and dancing with my muse.  I'm really excited about that.  I had such a dry spell for several years when it came to my writing.  It feels amazing to be back. :)

Sun, fun, romance, and self-discovery on the Jersey Shore - between a shy, local "anti" shore girl and her summer "benny" boy - who draws her out of her shell and opens her to new experiences, even as she opens him up to wonders.

Feel free to read, vote, and/or comment on my contest entry for Literotica's Summer Lovin' Contest and ENJOY!!

A few comments so far:

Worth The Wait: "A well written adventure of discovery, fear and love. I liked it from the start and read with interest throughout the story - it really isn't that long as the 3 main characters are developed well enough to keep even a ditzy romantic like me interested in their doings."

Great Story! "As someone who lives in Toms River you made the places I know come alive." ~Anonymous 2

"I found it interesting, you created conflict, you use dialogue well and unlike most lit stories, it centered around the character Raina rather than around the sex."

~K in e-mail (who would like to see the story developed further and put up on amazon as a novella to be bought.)
